OMH Helps Launch the 2026 United Way Campaign

As we reach the halfway point of our United Way Campaign, we are proud to reflect on a recent team effort that brought us together to support our community in a memorable way.

Last month, O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP helped kick off the 2026 United Way Golden Horseshoe Campaign by joining fellow community fundraisers at the annual United Way Plane Pull. Our team of nine dedicated OMH volunteers, along with several enthusiastic supporters, successfully pulled a full-size, 200,000-pound cargo plane 50 feet across the Hamilton Airport tarmac.

The event was an incredible display of teamwork, determination, and community spirit. More importantly, it helped raise funds and awareness for the vital programs and services supported by United Way throughout our region.

As part of our campaign launch, OMH was pleased to welcome Nadia from Women's Centre Halton to speak with our team about the impact of United Way-funded programs in our community. Through stories and examples from her work, Nadia illustrated how these resources help women navigate difficult circumstances and access the support they need to move forward. Her remarks provided a powerful reminder of the purpose behind our fundraising efforts and the positive change our collective contributions can help achieve.
