Giouzelin Mutlu is a member of the Municipal, Land Development and Environmental Law group at O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP.
Giouzelin holds an honours degree from Western University and a law degree from the University of Ottawa. During law school, Giouzelin worked at the Faculty’s Community Legal Clinic where she represented accused persons at the Ontario Court of Justice and Provincial Offences Court. She also provided pro bono assistance to ACORN Canada, drafted a legal publication for the United Nations, and was the Co-Chair of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF Ottawa).
Prior to joining O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP, Giouzelin competed as a national and varsity athlete, and interned at a regional, full-service law firm.
Giouzelin completed her articles at OMH LLP where she assisted with both barrister and solicitor work. In April 2022, Giouzelin was called to the Ontario Bar.
Giouzelin works with public and private sector clients to address a wide range of municipal, planning, development, expropriation, and environmental issues. She enjoys working with clients to mitigate risk and to develop creative solutions to legal disputes.
During her spare time, she enjoys playing and watching sports, trying out new restaurants, and travelling to new destinations.
