Alexandra Manthorpe practices in estate planning (Wills and Powers of Attorney), trust planning, estate administration, trust administration, and business succession planning.
Alexandra enjoys working with clients to help them prepare for the future in order to protect themselves and provide for their loved ones in the best manner possible. She also enjoys helping to guide clients through the process of being an executor or trustee. Clients appreciate her pro-active, compassionate and caring approach.
Alexandra is a member of the Canadian Bar Association / Ontario Bar Association (CBA/OBA), the Halton County Law Association, and the Estate Planners Council of Halton. She is also the past Chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs Group (YPEG), and a member and director of the Al Purdy A-Frame Association, a non-profit organization which has saved the poet Al Purdy’s home in Prince Edward County, Ontario and turned it into a writer’s retreat and place of inspiration for up-and-coming Canadian writers.
After achieving a B.A. (First Class Honours) at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Alexandra attended law school at Queen's University, where she was awarded two class prizes, including one for Wills and Estate Planning.
Outside of work, Alexandra is a busy mother of twins. She enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and canoeing, and sports, including golf and ice hockey. Alexandra has lived in Europe and Asia, and loves travelling. A frequent visitor to art galleries and museums, a true passion is creative writing.
