Jehanzeb (Jay) Ali

Jehanzeb Ali (Jay) joined the Municipal, Land Development, and Expropriation group at O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP as an associate following the completion of his articles with the firm. 

Jay was called to the bar in June 2025 after earning his Juris Doctor at University of Windsor. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at York University, where he developed a strong analytical mindset and a keen interest in understanding human behavior, skills that continue to shape his legal practice. During his time at York University, Jay worked as a student facilitator for the Peer-Assisted Study Sessions Program.

Jay is dedicated to providing practical, outcome-focused counsel while navigating the complexities of municipal processes and land use planning. In his role, Jay employs a collaborative approach, working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes.

In his free time, Jay enjoys watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
