Gurjeet Taneja

Gurjeet Taneja is a member of the Business Law Group at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP. He advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

Prior to being called to the Ontario Bar in 2026, Gurjeet accumulated more than a decade of international and Canadian experience in corporate governance, banking, finance, and commercial transactions, including nearly four years with Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets division, where he was involved in debt structuring and the closing of corporate banking transactions.

Gurjeet's combined legal and business background allows him to provide practical and commercially focused advice to businesses across a variety of industries.

Gurjeet is an active member of the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and Counselwell.

Outside the office, Gurjeet enjoys travelling, fitness, and canoeing.
