Biography
As part of the Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning team at OMH, Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning and estate administration, to ensure their estates are structured and managed according to their wishes and interests.
Elizabeth’s practice focuses on individual wills, corporate wills for clients with corporations or corporate interests, continuing powers of attorney for property, and powers of attorney personal care that incorporate the client’s personal care wishes. In addition, her comprehensive understanding of estate law, allows her to advise her clients on incorporating trusts and beneficiary designations for registered plans and insurance policies into wills, and to craft personalized estate plans that meet her clients’ unique needs and goals. Whether preparing an estate plan or advising executors and trustees on the administration of estates, Elizabeth approaches each client with empathy and precision and strives to guide them through the complete process with clarity and compassion.
Elizabeth's empathetic approach and clear communication style empower clients to make informed decisions, while her commitment to professionalism ensures matters are handled with discretion and respect.
Elizabeth holds Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Estate Planning Council of Canada. She is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP Canada) and a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). The TEP designation is an internationally recognized hallmark of professional expertise in trusts and estates, formally identifying practitioners who demonstrate advanced knowledge, experience and commitment to the highest professional standards in this field.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching crime drama.
