O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP is very thrilled to welcome Owen Duguid as a Partner effective January 1, 2023.

Owen is a long-standing member of the firm, starting here during his articles, and having practiced at OMH throughout his career. His clients, and other lawyers in the firm, trust his expertise in Real Estate, Municipal and Land Development Law. Other than his legal knowledge, members of OMH rely on him for his level-headedness, quick wit, and dry sense of humour.

Owen’s practice consists of general residential, commercial and municipal real estate law covering all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, secured financing, construction contracts, leasing and licensing. His technical real estate knowledge, being able to think and see transactions through from beginning to end, and being able to assess risks, pros, and cons makes him an invaluable solicitor. These skills allow him to provide clear and concise advice to his clients, helping them sidestep and overcome complications that may arise allowing them to finalize their transactions with a minimum of anxiety and distress.

His natural leadership qualities and his strong positive reputation with staff, lawyers, clients and our community meant that having him join the partnership was a natural progression of his involvement at OMH.
