O'Connor MacLeod Hanna has a very active and varied criminal litigation practice.
Paul Stunt, who is counsel to the firm, has over twenty-six years of experience in this field defending, and in the past prosecuting, all manner of criminal charges from murder to shoplifting. Over the past ten years, he has practiced in the trial and appellate courts of Ontario representing those charged with criminal offences.
Our counsel represents adult and young offenders and has the expertise to take on even the most complex cases, whether they be the increasingly frequent allegations of historical abuse or large scale, white-collar offences. A large part of this practice also includes defending drinking and driving offences, domestic assaults, sexual assaults, and property-related offences such as theft, fraud and break and enter. Our criminal counsel also has experience before the Ontario Review Board and in representation of persons who have been victims of criminal conduct.
As a compliment to these areas of practice, Paul represents professionals and individuals in administrative matters where such allegations as harassment and other employment issues are involved in which the client may be facing the possibility of extreme employment consequences.
