Melanie practices in the areas of family law and criminal law. Her family law practice includes assisting clients with:

- Custody & Access
- Support
- Division of Assets
- Step Parent or Relative Adoption Applications
- Child Protection Matters
Melanie’s criminal law practice involves defending a range of criminal and quasi-criminal offences including, theft, mischief, assault, domestic assault, drinking and driving offences etc. Melanie also assists individuals or organizations involved in Third Party Records Applications.
Professional Activities:
Melanie is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Halton County Law Association, the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Advocate’s Society.
Community Activities:
While at law school, Melanie was a Supervisor at Community Legal Services at the University of Western Ontario providing free legal assistance and public legal education seminars. During this time Melanie also volunteered at SARI – a therapeutic riding facility in London, Ontario, and Salthaven – a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Mount Brydges, Ontario.
Melanie is an avid horseback rider and is also learning to play the piano.
