Megan Cheema is a member of the Corporate and Commercial practice group at O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP. Megan's practice is focused on corporate and commercial matters, as well as non-profit law. She enjoys working with clients to help them achieve their business goals. Prior to joining OMH, Megan completed her articles at a well-respected Toronto firm. Having grown up in Halton, Megan is pleased to return to her community and is proud to be a part of a firm that has a reputation for excellence, and is widely recognized for its collegial environment and skilled practitioners.
Megan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and completed her law degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
During law school, Megan was an active volunteer and spent her time as a Public Legal Education Volunteer for the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children and a Student Caseworker for the Downtown Legal Services community clinic. She also acted as a Peer Mentor at her law school and was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Megan remains passionate about giving back to the community and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Halton Women’s Place and on the Milton Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Committee.
In her free time, Megan enjoys yoga, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
