Marian G. Gage
Practice:
Marian has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since she was called to the Bar in 2004. She worked at a prominent family law firm in Toronto before moving to O’Connor MacLeod Hanna in 2007. Her practice includes assisting clients in obtaining a divorce and helping clients work out issues relating to custody and access, support and property issues. She assists in the negotiation and preparation of separation agreements, paternity agreements, cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts. She also assists clients with step-parent or relative adoption applications.
Marian understands the financial and emotional stress that result from separation and she endeavours to work with clients to achieve a good result without litigation whenever it is possible. She works with clients to determine the best options for dispute resolution in each case.
Marian also offers mediation services in which she works with parties to understand their problems and concerns, and to help them reach an agreement that meets their needs in a constructive and creative way.

Professional Activities:
Marian is a member of the Halton County Law Association and the Ontario Bar Association. She serves as a panel lawyer for the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee and the Barbara Schlifer Clinic. She has written and spoken on various family law topics for colleagues and members of the public.
