The Town of Oakville has adopted a new Official Plan for the lands generally south of Dundas Street, called “Livable Oakville”. Region of Halton approval was given in late 2009.
There are significant changes in this new official plan that will substantially affect property owners in Oakville.

Livable Oakville has been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board by over 50 different parties.
The first Ontario Municipal Board Pre-hearing was held in Oakville on May 26 and 27, 2010. The Ontario Municipal Board has ordered a further Pre-hearing on October 4 and 5, 2010.
